Hodnocení výkonnosti a finanční stability zdravotnického zařízení po fúzi: Aplikace metody Balanced Scorecard na Masarykovu městskou nemocnici

Abstract

Cílem diplomové práce je zhodnotit výkonnost a finanční stabilitu Masarykovy městské nemocnice, a.s., po fúzi dvou regionálních nemocnic v Jilemnici a Semilech. K hodnocení je využita metodika Balanced Scorecard, která umožňuje komplexní posouzení fungování organizace z hlediska čtyř klíčových oblastí: finanční perspektivy, pacientské zkušenosti, interních procesů a perspektivy učení a růstu.

Analýza vychází z kombinace veřejně dostupných dokumentů a interních podkladů poskytnutých nemocnicí. Ve finanční perspektivě jsou sledovány ukazatele jako rentabilita, likvidita a efektivita hospodaření. Pacientská perspektiva hodnotí dostupnost a kvalitu péče v obou lokalitách. V oblasti interních procesů je zohledněna míra modernizace, zejména digitalizace zdravotnické dokumentace a zavádění IT systémů. Perspektiva učení a růstu se zaměřuje na vzdělávání, podporu a zapojení zaměstnanců. Součástí výzkumu byl také dotazník mapující spokojenost zaměstnanců a jejich zkušenost s implementací nových technologií.

Výsledky ukazují, že nemocnice po fúzi vykazuje stabilní vývoj napříč všemi sledovanými oblastmi a efektivně reaguje na výzvy zdravotnického systému. Fúze přispěla k optimalizaci procesů, lepšímu využívání zdrojů a posílení strategického řízení organizace.The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the performance and financial stability of Masaryk Municipal Hospital following the merger of two regional hospitals located in Jilemnice and Semily. The assessment applies the Balanced Scorecard methodology, which provides a comprehensive evaluation across four key areas: financial perspective, patient experience, internal processes, and learning and growth. The analysis is based on publicly available documents and internal materials provided by the hospital. The financial perspective examines indicators such as profitability, liquidity, and operational efficiency. The patient perspective evaluates access to and quality of care in both sites. The internal process perspective considers modernization efforts, particularly digitalization and the implementation of health IT systems. The learning and growth perspective focuses on education, support, and employee engagement. The research also includes a survey that explores staff satisfaction and their experience with the implementation of new technologies. The findings indicate that the hospital maintains stable development in all monitored areas and responds effectively to challenges in the healthcare system. The merger contributed to process optimization, better resource allocation, and strengthened strategic management.
