Abstract
Popisuji zdravotnickou záchranou službu a roli zdravotnického záchranáře.
This bachelors thesis addresses the issue of the development of health protection measures for paramedics during both standard and emergency incidents. It also aims to map the frequency and most common types of injuries sustained by paramedics. The theoretical part first provides an overview of the integrated rescue system, including a description of the emergency medical services and the specific role of paramedics within this system. A subsequent chapter is devoted to the classification and characteristics of emergency incidents. Further attention is given to occupational health and safety at the workplace, as well as to the personal protective equipment utilized by paramedics during both standard and emergency incidents. The final chapter of the theoretical section focuses on the topic of work-related injuries. The practical part of the thesis presents an analysis of injury data obtained from the injury logbook of the emergency medical services of the Central Bohemian Region. This data is supplemented by structured interviews with paramedics who have been employed in the field for a minimum of ten years and have experienced at least one work-related injury. The primary objective of the thesis is to analyze the evolution of health protection practices for paramedics in both standard and emergency incidents, and to determine the most common types of injuries affecting these professionals.
