Změny slzného filmu a povrchu oka u pacientů s diagnózou diabetes mellitus

Abstract

Práce shrnuje současné znalosti o povrchu oka a slzném filmu z pohledu funkce slzné funkční jednotky (LFU). Popisuje anatomii a fyziologii jednotlivých součástí LFU a shrnuje současné znalosti o vzniku a dělení syndromu suchého oka. Dále práce popisuje současné znalosti o vzniku a příznacích suchého oka u pacientů s diagnózou diabetes mellitus (DM). V experimentální části byli testováni pacienti s DM 1. typu pomocí testů pro zhodnocení kvality slzného filmu a povrchu oka. Dále v rámci uvedené práce byly odebírány od pacientů vzorky spojivky metodou impresní cytologie a následně vyhodnoceny a porovnány se vzorky dobrovolníků bez DM. Subjektivní příznaky suchého oka pacientů byly zjišťovány prostřednictvím dotazníku. Výsledky byly statisticky hodnoceny.This work summarizes current knowledge of the ocular surface and the tear film from the point of view of lacrimal functional unit (LFU). It describes the anatomy and physiology of individual parts of the LFU and summarizes the current knowledge about the origin and division of dry eye syndrome. As also, the work describes the current knowledge of dry eye symptoms in patients with diabetes mellitus (DM). In the experimental part, patients with DM 1 type were tested by tests to assess the quality of the tear film and the ocular surface. In addition, the samples were taken from the patients of conjunctiva by the method of impression cytology and after that it were evaluated and compared with samples of volunteers without DM. The subjective symptoms of the dry eye of the patients were determined by the questionnaire. The results were statistically evaluated.
