Abstract
This diploma thesis primarily focuses on the design of an emergency response station for the Integrated Rescue Systemcomprising the Fire Rescue Service and the Emergency Medical Servicein Náměšť nad Oslavou, a small town in the Vysočina Region with approximately five thousand inhabitants. The site, located in connection with the railway station, is currently used mainly for transport and technical functions; however, it is spatially and operationally inadequate and lacks a clear urban structure as well as high-quality public space. The design of an Integrated Rescue System station cannot be addressed in isolation; therefore, the thesis includes a comprehensive reassessment of the existing area as a functional whole. In addition to the emergency response station itself, the proposal also incorporates a new fuel station, parking facilities, and a small recreational park. The fire station and the emergency medical service station are designed as two independently operating facilities sharing a common courtyard, allowing for phased construction and different financing strategies. The architectural concept of the emergency response station is based on a simple volume unified by a perforated secondary façade, which responds to the internal operations of the building while also providing shading. The project demonstrates that a high-quality design of a technically demanding Integrated Rescue System facility requires a comprehensive approach, addressing both the building scale and its immediate urban context.
