Abstract
Předmětem diplomové práce je zhodnocení problematiky nelegální migrace v České republice. Teoretická část obsahuje nezbytné základní pojmy související s migrací, vývojem střežení státní hranice České republiky, včetně nejčastějších důvodů pro migraci obyvatelstva, formy nelegální migrace a postupy při jejich řešení. Praktická část se pomocí polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s příslušníky Policie České republiky zabývá problematikou střežení státní hranice České republiky a Schengenské hranice. Dále se praktická část zabývá porovnáním statistických dat vydaných Českým statistickým úřadem a Evropským statistickým úřadem od roku 2020 do roku 2023 a komparací dat mezi Českou republikou, Slovenskou republikou, Maďarskem, Srbskou republikou a Republikou Severní Makedonie. Cílem práce je zjistit, zda dosavadní způsob střežení státní hranice České republiky formou Schengenského prostoru je efektivní a dostačující a dále doporučení, jak současný stav zlepšit.
The subject of this thesis is the evaluation of the problem of illegal migration in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part contains the necessary basic concepts related to migration, the development of guarding the state border of the Czech Republic, including the most common reasons for migration of the population, forms of illegal migration and procedures for their solution. The practical part deals with the issue of guarding the state border of the Czech Republic and the Schengen border by means of semi-structured interviews with members of the Police of the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the practical part deals with the comparison of statistical data issued by the Czech Statistical Office and the European Statistical Office from 2020 to 2023, and the comparison of data between the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic, Hungary, the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Northern Macedonia. The aim of the thesis is to determine whether the current method of guarding the state border of the Czech Republic in the form of the Schengen area is effective and sufficient and to make recommendations on how to improve the current situation.
