Zbrusu Nový Smíchov

Abstract

Zbrusu Nový Smíchov je projekt reagující na bytovou krizi v Praze. Zadáním bylo hledat odpověď na otázku: Kde budeme bývať?" a výsledný návrh je odpovědí na tuto otázku, závěr hledání míst, kam je ještě možné umístit bytové stavby i v husté zástavbě pražského Smíchova. Nalezeným místem je prázdná střecha obchodního centra Nový Smíchov, která jako by čekala na nové využití. Odpověď je dále rozvíjena v podobě variabilních dispozic, které vznikaly se záměrem umožnit bydlení nejen pro současnost, ale i pro budoucnost a všechny možnosti, v nichž se může ukázat.

Brand New Smíchov is a project responding to the housing crisis in Prague. The task was to find an answer to the question: "Where will we live?" and the resulting proposal is an answer to this question, the conclusion of searching for places where it is still possible to place residential buildings even in the dense development of Prague's Smíchov. The place found is the empty roof of the Nový Smíchov shopping centre, seemingly awaiting a new use. The answer is further developed in the form of variable layouts, which were created with the intention of enabling housing not only for the present, but also for the future. And for all the shapes in which it may come.
