Zdravotní rizika spojená s expozicí azbestem a jejich minimalizace

Abstract

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou expozice azbestem a s tím souvisejícími zdravotními riziky. V teoretické části je uveden souhrn dostupných informací a poznatků souvisejících s azbestem, jeho vlastností, historie využití a především zdravotní důsledky, které s jeho expozicí souvisejí. Dále je uvedena rozsáhlá legislativa v ČR, v EU i ve světě, související se zákazem používání azbestu, postupy při odstraňování azbestu s ohledem na minimalizaci expozice pracovníků odstraňujících azbest při rekonstrukcích či odstraňování starých budov. Nedílnou součástí je i objasnění procesu kategorizace prací a postupu při hlášení prací s azbestem. Uvedeny jsou i podrobnosti pracovně lékařské péče jako prevencí a ochranou zdraví zaměstnanců před poškozením zdraví a nemocemi z povolání a pravidla pro uznávání nemocí z povolání způsobená azbestem. V praktické části diplomové práce jsou analyzovány statistické údaje uznaných nemocí z povolání způsobených expozicí azbestem v jednotlivých letech ve sledovaném období. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována rozdělení počtu pacientů podle druhu onemocnění v jednotlivých letech a kontrastu počtu mužů a počtu žen s onemocněním způsobeným expozicí azbestem. Cílem práce bylo zmapovat situaci ohledně azbestu a nemocí z povolání, které mají velmi závažný sociální i ekonomický dopad. Byl sledován vývoj hlášených profesionálních nemocí způsobených azbestem v rozmezí let 2013-2023 a byla provedena analýza silných a slabých stránek procesů souvisejících s azbestem a navrženy úpravy ke zvýšení jejich bezpečnosti a efektivnosti.The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of asbestos exposure and related health risks. The theoretical part presents a summary of the available information and knowledge about asbestos, its properties, the history of its use and especially the health effects related to its exposure. Furthermore, extensive legislation in the Czech Republic, the EU and worldwide related to the prohibition of asbestos use, asbestos removal procedures with regard to minimising the exposure of asbestos removal workers during the renovation or demolition of old buildings are presented. Clarification of the process for categorising work and the procedure for reporting work involving asbestos is also an integral part. Details of occupational health care as a means of preventing and protecting the health of workers from harm and occupational diseases and rules for the recognition of occupational diseases caused by asbestos are also provided. The practical part of the thesis analyses statistical data on recognised occupational diseases caused by exposure to asbestos in each year of the period under study. Particular attention is paid to the distribution of the number of patients by type of disease in each year and the contrast between the number of men and the number of women with diseases caused by asbestos exposure. The aim of the work was to map the situation regarding asbestos and occupational diseases, which have a very serious social and economic impact. It monitored the evolution of reported asbestos-related occupational diseases from 2013 to 2023, analysed the strengths and weaknesses of asbestos-related processes and proposed changes to improve their safety and efficiency.
