Abstract
The subject of this diploma thesis is to analyze selected attacks of active attackers, which have taken place on the European Union's territory between 2012 and 2017. In the theoretical part the concept of an active attacker, its characteristic and most famous attacks that have occurred in the past are defined. It describes the potential motive of the attacker and his personality profile. Further, it describes locations of the possible attacks, the division into soft and hard targets and the methodology, which deals with this issue in the territory of the Czech Republic. The practical part is divided into three parts. The first part describes the data statistically presented from attacks that have taken place on the EU's territory for a certain period of time and the method used for collecting the data. The second part is devoted to the research itself, in which are the most probable locations of the attack evaluated by using the FMEA analysis and risk analysis. The third part deals with the possibilities how to prevent or reduce the frequency of attacks and proposes measures how to achieve these goals.
