OBNOVA CHMELAŘSKÉHO AREÁLU NA NERUDOVĚ NÁMĚSTÍ V ŽATCI

Bývalý chmelařský areál Edmunda Sterna v Žatci se dochoval spíše v torzálním stavu. Jeho neopominutelnou součástí je oktogonální komín a zachovalá technologie siřírny chmele. Diplomová práce se zabývá jeho šetrnou obnovou s přihlédnutím ke zpracovanému stavebně historickému průzkumu. Cílem návrhu je najít vhodné nové využití pro jednotlivé budovy areálu s odkazem na Žatecký chmel.

Edmund Stern's former hops area in Žatec has been preserved in a rather torsal condition. Its unmissable part is the octagonal chimney and the well-preserved sulphurisation technology. The diploma project deals with its careful restoration, taking into account the prepared construction-historical survey. The goal of the design is to find a suitable new use for each building of the area with reference to hops.
