Analýza pandemií na území Čech mezi XI. st. a XXI. st.

Abstract

Diplomová práce upozorňuje na problematiku infekčních onemocnění, která mají potenciál v propuknutí pandemie. Analýzou historických pramenů, odborné literatury je získán přehled o moru, pravých neštovicích, syfilis, španělské chřipce, AIDS a COVID-19, které zasáhly Evropu v průběhu XI. - XXI. století. Práce je zaměřena na komparaci uvedených pandemií podle příčin vzniku, místa prvního záchytu, rychlosti šíření v Evropě, počtu obětí, učiněných opatření a ekonomických a politických důsledků. Získané poznatky jsou aplikovány při zpracování vlastního návrhu možné obrany proti pandemii v podmínkách současného globalizovaného světa. Práce porovnává realizované kroky v České republice během pandemie COVID-19 do 31. prosince 2020 s představeným návrhem.

The diploma thesis studies the infectious diseases that have had the potential to break out in a pandemic. The analysis of historical sources and professional literature provides an overview of the plague, smallpox, syphilis, Spanish influenza, AIDS and COVID-19 which hit Europe during the XI - XXI century. Part of this work is focused on the comparison of these pandemics according to the causes, the location of the first case, the rate of spread in Europe, the number of victims, the measures taken to fight these diseases, and the economic and political consequences. This thesis proposes a solution for the fight against COVID-19 by combining the acquired knowledge from past pandemics to the present conditions of today´s globalized world. The work compares the steps taken in the Czech Republic from the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic to December 31 2020 with the presented proposal.
