Závislost na internetu a sociálních sítích

Abstract

Cílem bakalářské práce je analýza problematiky závislosti na internetu a sociálních sítích. Práce má teoreticko-empirický design. V teoretické části jsou uvedeny základní informace související s vývojem digitálních technologií a sociálních sítí, jejichž masové používání doprovázejí i určitá rizika. Vedle vymezení klíčových pojmů a jejich definic je charakterizováno závislostní chování, jeho projevy, diagnostika, terapie a prevence. V empirické části jsou uvedeny výsledky kvantitativně pojaté výzkumné sondy, kdy byla zjišťována míra užívání internetu a sociálních sítí a projevy závislostního chování ve skupině středoškoláků, adolescentů ve věkovém rozpětí 15-18 let, studujících na střední odborné škole v Plzeňském kraji. Jako metoda výzkumu byla použita standardizovaná metoda původem z Taiwanu (Chenova škála závislostního chování), jejíž český překlad bývá výzkumně často využíván.

The main subject of this bachelor’s thesis is addiction to internet and social media. The thesis delivers a basic theoretical analysis of the concept, definitions of addictions, the risks related to the use of social media, prevention of netolism and also options of its cure. Emphasis is given to digital games, such as nintendo, which may have socially pathological addictional consequences. The text comprises a theoretical part and a presentation of empirical data. In the theoretical part, the key facts related to addiction are presented. In the introduction to the empirical part we describe the methodology and research sample (secondary school students from West Bohemia, aged between 15 and 18 years). We tried to shed more light to what extent their social life could be impacted by their addictive behavior regarding internet and social media. Second, we will try to examine the influence of excessive use of internet and social media on grades and the overall welfare which will allow us to conclude if an excessive use of internet and social media could be considered as a pathology and thus may pose an actual threat to the nowadays youth and their future. The empirical study took form of an anonymous questionnaire which the teens were free to fill, the so called specter of price in addictive behaviors.
