This diploma thesis in its theoretical part deals with the legislation of EU and CZ in the area of connected European market. From the beginnings of the liberalization of individual national markets to the current state of the interconnected market. That is followed by a short introduction of nodal system as a possible solution to current problems in the European market. This system is then modeled in a computational programme for Czech Republic in a context of the European market. The aim of the model and the whole diploma thesis is determining whether defining Czech Republic as one bidding zone is sufficient in terms of internal congestions.
