In the construction of the external walls of modern wood-based buildings is often used OSB (oriented strand board) as a vapor barrier layer. It is designed to regulate the water vapor transmission from interior to exterior. The possible occurrence of condensate in the composition of the external wall may lead to a risk of the function of the construction. This problem needs to be analyzed and solved. In this thesis was created a model in a computer program that describes the transport of water vapor through the construction. To validate the model was a sample of the external wall composition inserted into the climatic chamber and the data from sensors which was on all material interfaces was compared with the data from the simulation in the computer program. To refine the results, the work included measurement of the diffuse resistance factor of the OSB board. The experiments were performed in the laboratory of UCEEB CTU in Prague.
