The goal of this diploma thesis is to elaborate a comprehensive overview of acoustics of wooden floors. There are general requirements for wooden floor structures and a brief overview of historical wooden floor structures given in the introductory part of the thesis. Subsequently, an overview of the effects of various structural solutions of wooden (especially joist-based) floor structures on building acoustics is elaborated. This part of the thesis is significantly supported by calculations made in the specialized software INSUL, or the information is based on various sources such as specialized publications and scientific papers. Furthermore, the thesis presents the possibilities of involving the influence of indirect paths of flanking sound influence on an airborne and impact sound insulation. The thesis also contains comparison the acoustic insulating properties of reinforced concrete floor structure and a light wooden floor structure. At the end of the theoretical part, there is an overview of the currently used wood-based floor structures with their air and impact sound insulation values. In the practical part of the work, measurements were performed in the acoustic laboratory at UCEEB in Buštěhrad. Four various floors were measured. This part also compares measured values with each other. Comparison is supplemented with commentary and comparison of the first measured floor with the results of calculation. Furthermore, the practical part describes the procedure of laboratory measurements in accordance with series of standards ČSN EN ISO 10140.
