The subject of the bachelor thesis is a nonstationary operation of a basic reaction turbine known as the Segner's wheel. The design of the turbine is described. Consequently follows a theoretical derivation of angular speed for the given operational mode. Results from the theoretical model are compared to experimental measurements. The theoretical model of the turbine's behaviour is modelled in MATLAB. For measuring angular speed on a real turbine, a modular kit with sensors, from the Czech company BigClown, is used.
