The master’s thesis deals with parameters estimations of linear regression model, one-step and multi-step output prediction, comparison of individual estimating algorithms using simulated data and application of these algorithms to real data. The thesis is composed of four parts. The first part of the thesis introduces Bayesian principles, describes stochastic linear regression model, parameters estimations, output prediction and time-varying parameters. In the second part, estimating algorithms are introduced. In the third part, simulations are carried out to compere all algorithms using models both with constant and time-varying parameters with various types of white noise. In the fourth part, these algorithms are applied to real data that are in the form of average temperature of selected time periods, and the future average temperature is predicted.
