This bachelor thesis is devoted to automatic meteor detection based on double station observation of the MAIA (Meteor Automatic Imager and Analyzer) system. The system function principles and the method of meteor detection using Canny edge detector are theoretically described. A field of view overlay analysis is performed in the thesis. Moreover, the thesis focuses on obtained data comparison with emphasis on their classification by success of each station detection. Unsuccessfully detected meteors underwent further analysis with different MAIA settings based on the reason of the abortive detection. The settings are then compared and evaluated according to their success rate. The aim of the thesis is to find the settings, which lead to the detection of new meteors. Creation of the program, which classifies detected meteors by the place of their appearance, is also part of the thesis. This program then simlifies further data processing.
