This bachelor thesis attempts to summarize the main outputs in the area of the study of pedestrian flows. First, there are described the approaches, several existing models, and also the fundamental phenomena that occur when the pedestrian flows interact. Then, there are mentioned macroscopic quantities (mainly density and flow) and described experiments, which were realized within the GAMS group at the Department of Mathematics, FNSPE, CTU in Prague. The last part analyzes the data of one of the experiments and describes the situation at the crossing flows.
