This bachelor thesis deals with the use of PETP materials for the production of large-volume beverage containers, used primarily to contain beer. It summarizes the particular polymeric material, and further details the technological process, which depends on many factors affecting the quality of the final product. The practical part of the work examines with the use of the tensile test method how adjustable parameters in the blow moulding process create differences in the properties of the resulting product. When comparing three possible process settings, one appears to be the most appropriate in terms of unilateral strain, which is in turn denied by further testing performed by the company. These conclusions illustrate the unstable behaviour of polymer materials and their sensitivity to small changes, and subsequently show that the most important factors of the technology are the flexibility of adjusting the parameters and the experience of technologists.
