The aim of this thesis is to complete a brief research on climatic goals and to apply them to the conditions in the Czech Republic. Based on this, emission limits for the construction of a new office building were established. This building was later assessed from the point of view of global warming potential and other environmental indicators. Variations in construction and energetic concept of a building whose carbon footprint in the phase of construction and operation meets the defined emission limits are defined. These variants are evaluated and in the conclusion of this thesis.
