Památník tří odbojů

Abstract

Zadanie vytvoriť pamätník troch odbojov na starom opustenom statku rodiny, ktorá je obeťou všetkých týchto odbojov, a ktorej člen zadal túto úlohu, bola pre mňa veľká výzva a nenahraditeľná skúsenosť, ktorej som sa snažil zhostiť s rešpektom a pokorou. Pri hľadaní riešenia som sa snažil nájsť odpovede na vynárajúce sa otázky, a to napríklad ako zapracovať objekt súčasnej architektúry na miesto, ktoré zastalo v čase niekedy pred druhou svetovou vojnou, alebo rozsah sanácie stávajúcich zanedbaných objektov s dôrazom na autenticitu, alebo vytvorenie vhodných priestorov v stávajúcich objektoch pre uchovanie spomienky spĺňajúce kritéria 21. storočia. Výsledkom tak je nenápadná drevená novostavba priamo prepojená so stávajúcimi časťami, ktorá svoje chápadlá súčasnosti dostala aj do vnútra už stojacich budov.

It was a great and irreplaceable experience to design a memorial to three revolts on an old abandoned farmstead belonging to a family that took part in all of these revolts. I tried to address this task with respect and humility, because it was assigned by a member of this family. To find the right solution to this task I tried to find answers to questions such as how to incorporate a contemporary piece of architecture in a place that had come to a standstill some time before the Second World War. Or the extent of sanitation of the existing structures with an emphasis on keeping authenticity. Or how to create a suitable space for a memorial in the existing structures while satisfying the 21st century requirements for such a space. The result is thus an inconspicuous wooden new structure directly connected to the existing parts and its contemporary spirit influencing also the interior of the old building.
