The aim of the work was in a cooperation with the Center of Occupational Medicine of the State Medical Institute in Prague to evaluate and apply a new method of evaluation and prevention of ergonomic hazards in the health and social care field based on the use of ergonomic program Tecnomatix JACK. The handling with patients was selected for experimental verification, which was evaluated using the current method based on the NV 361/2007 Coll., but also by ergonomic analyzes included in the Tecnomatix JACK program. Part of the work was also an experimental determination and evaluation of the expended forces generated by these handling tasks. The result of this work shows that there is no difference between the current method and the proposed ergonomic risk assessment method in terms of identifying ergonomic hazards. It has also been demonstrated that the force required to handle the patient can be determined using both a force gauge and a simplified biomechanical calculation.
