V~nejjednodušším případě lineárních rovnic s konstantními koeficienty jsme schopni nalézt a vyjádřit explicitně řešení užitím vhodné analytické metody. This work consists of three chapters. The First chapter deals with general theory of ordinary differential equations and presents basic analytical methods for their solution. In the second chapter we focus on numerical Euler's method for approximation of solution of systems of ordinary differential equations. The third chapter covers theory of electric circuits and shows applications of the ordinary differential equations in this field. All the chapters contain illustrative examples for better understanding of the topic. The theory of ordinary differential equations belongs to fundamental disciplines of mathematical analysis. In the simplest case of linear equations with constant coefficients we are able to find and express the solution using suitable analytical method. On the other hand for nonlinear problems (e.g. van der Pol oscillator) it is relatively rare case and we are forced to accept approximation of the exact solution. Applications of differential equations can be found in many, if not all, areas of scientific and engineering practice from mechanics through chemistry, biology to electrical engineering.
