Predstavujeme a odvodzujeme dve metódy odhadu parametrov logistického modelu - metódu PQL a EM algoritmus. Pomocou simulačnej štúdie tieto metódy porovnávame, pričom skúmame, ako sa zmenia odhady parametrov logistického modelu získané jednotlivými metódami, keď budú vstupné dáta kontaminované. During the last few years generalized linear mixed models have been increasingly used to solve a large variety of problems ranging from medical research to insurance. In this work we first present generalized linear mixed models. We then focus on one particular member of this group of models, the logistic regression model, which is used in the field of small area estimation. We present and derive two methods of logistic model parameter estimation - the PQL method and the EM algorithm. We compare the two methods by means of a simulation experiment and study how parameter estimates obtained by the respective methods change with increasing contamination in our data.
