Protonová léčba v radioterapii u karcinomů dětí

Abstract

Tato teoretická práce se zabývá problematikou léčby dětských nádorů pomocí protonové terapie. Jsou zde popsány nejčastější nádory dětského věku, které se léči na radioterapeutických pracovištích a pracovištích protonové terapie. Zároveň i nádory adolescentů a problematiku jejich věkového zařazení. Je zde popsána protonová terapie a to nejen z fyzikálního hlediska, ale i z hlediska práce radiologického asistenta na pracovišti protonové terapie. Dále je zde porovnávána fotonová léčba pomocí IMRT technologie s protonovou IMPT technologií a také ekonomické náklady pro oba typy léčby. Na konci této práce jsou popsány 3 kasuistiky dětských nádorů při léčbě v protonovém centru v Praze.

This theoretical study focuses on proton therapy medical treatment of children diagnosed with tumour. This study aims to describe most common child tumour types which are tre-ated in radiotherapy and proton therapy facilities. Tumours of adolescents and their age classification are also part of this study. Study describes proton therapy not only from the physical viewpoint but from the position of medical assistant of proton therapy facility too. It furthermore compares photon therapy medical treatment using IMRT (Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy) with proton therapy medical treatment using IMPT (Inten-sity-Modulated Proton Beam Therapy) and economical expenses of both types of medical treatment. In the end study describes three casuistries (case interpretations) of child tumours using proton therapy at Proton Therapy Center Czech s.r.o. in Prague.
