Tato práce porovnává několik různých přístrojů, sloužících k detekci a měření srážek. Zpracována a porovnávána byla data z překlopných srážkoměrů, laserového detektoru srážek a dvou nestandardních přístrojů, senzorů primárně určených k měření vlhkosti. In this thesis, several different instruments for rainfall measurement are compared. Measured data have been analyzed and compared for tipping bucket rain gauge, laser precipitation monitor, and two unusual instruments primarily used for the measurement of humidity; namely Leaf Wetness Sensors (LWS) from the Decagon Devices Inc. and sensor TMS from the TOMST Ltd. Criteria for an exact detection of beginnings and ends of precipitation episodes have been developed for each type of instrument. Moreover, for the humidity sensors drying times have been analyzed. All instruments have been situated in a catchment area of Martínský stream in Letňany, Prague. Seven tipping bucket rain gauges have been installed in the catchment area to analyze its rainfall variability. Finally, the data obtained from the different instruments installed in the same range have been analyzed. This analysis has shown that even the humidity detectors LWS and TMS with lower operational demands can be used for the rainfall detection if the criteria are set up properly.
