Práce se zaměřuje na nové trendy v konceptu smart grids. Jelikož je elektřina v současné době nepostradatelná a strategická komodita, má jakýkoli výpadek její dodávky většího rozsahu velký dopad na její odběratele. Spolehlivá a bezpečná dodávka je v popředí obecného zájmu a v dlouhodobém hledisku se snažíme vyvarovat všech poruch a výpadků. Základy současných distribučních sítí jsou již mnoho desetiletí založeny na neměnných principech, kde je znakem tradiční řetězec - výroba, přenos, distribuce a spotřeba elektrické energie. Tento základ se začíná v současné době měnit a to z důvodu růstu nových trendů (rozvoj decentralizovaných zdrojů elektrické energie, elektromobilita, aj.).
Práce popisuje základní principy konceptu včetně analýzy aktuálních legislativních opatření platných v ČR a podporujících právě nové trendy ve smart grids.
Dále jsou popsány eventuální problémy s připojováním decentralizovaných zdrojů elektrické energie do distribučních sítí a jejich dopad na zkratové proudy a chránění v těchto sítích.
Další část práce se věnuje možným přístupům k výpočtu chodu sítě při uvažování nových trendů - využitím pravděpodobnostního přístupu a následného výstupu ve formě statistických parametrů. Takto navržený přístup byl demonstrován ve formě případové studie, která hodnotí vliv nových trendů na distribuční soustavu a jejich dopad na hlavní ukazatele – jako je průběh napětí, proudů a ztrát. Závěry, které lze učinit na základě provedené studie jsou takové, že pro dimenzování distribučních soustav, je pravděpodobnostní přístup možností, jak se co nejefektivněji vyrovnat se vzrůstajícím trendem v oblasti decentralizovaných zdrojů a elektromobility.
Přínos práce lze spatřovat v komplexním pohledu na danou problematiku a zejména v zaměření na chránění v distribuční soustavě a na plánování obnovy a rekonstrukce současných distribučních sítí s ohledem na nové trendy v konceptu smart grids (tedy na budoucí vzrůstající počet decentralizovaných zdrojů elektrické energie spolu se vzrůstajícím počtem elektromobilů).
