MĚDĚNEC - PAMĚŤ HORNICKÉ KRAJINY KRUŠNÝCH HOR

Abstract

Diplomová práce se zabývá regenerací obce Měděnec a jejím propojením s okolní hornickou krajinou Krušných hor, včetně vrchu Mědníku, který byl nedávno zařazen na seznam památek UNESCO. Očekávaný nárůst turismu přináší nové příležitosti i rizika, cílem urbanistické koncepce je vytvořit v obci chybějící zázemí pro návštěvníky, podpořit bytovou výstavbu a chybějící občanskou vybavenost, to vše při zachování a podpoření kulturních a přírodních hodnot v území. Projekt pracuje s pamětí místa v několika měřítkách od zpřítomnění stop kulturní krajiny a interpretace zaniklé urbanistické struktury až po detail veřejných prostranství.

The thesis focuses on the regeneration of the village of Měděnec and its integration with the surrounding mining landscape of the Ore Mountains, including the Mědník Hill, recently inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The expected growth in tourism presents both opportunities and challenges, the proposal aims to create essential visitor infrastructure, support housing development and civic amenities, while preserving and enhancing the cultural and natural values of the area. The project engages with the memory of the place at multiple levels from the reinterpretation of the traces of cultural landscape and destroyed urban structures to the detailed design of public spaces.
