This work presents the recent progress in the field of high-order harmonic generation
in complex laser fields. First, the harmonic generation is discussed from the general
point of view consulting the most recent updates in the field. Then, the section giving
an insight into the UV-driven HHG scheme to provide tunable and monochromatic
radiation at 21.5 eV is presented with both, theoretical and experimental parts. This
section is followed by a report on generation of circularly polarized XUV light at
the HHG Beamline at ELI Beamlines. Afterwards, the possibility of controlling
the XUV wavefront of the generated harmonic using the two-color laser beam is
provided. Experimental results are supported by numerical modelling with the fully
reproduced experimental results and explanation of the observed features. In the
last section, a new approach to HHG efficiency improvement by a process of high parametric generation is theoretically discussed. Results of the technical part are
presented, including the THz generation and construction of the THz spectrometer
needed for the project.
