Hyperspectral imaging technology is beginning to be used in a wide range of appli-cations, including agriculture, food industry or biomedicine. Despite their undeniable ad-vantages, they are often faced with challenges regarding their implementation in working environments. This work deals with the topic of hyperspectral imaging. In the research part, it ex-amines the principles of hyperspectral cameras, then offers an overview of practical applica-tions in science and industry, and then takes a closer look at the HAIP BlackIndustry VNIR V2 hyperspectral camera. The practical part of this thesis deals with the design of a workstation for this cam-era. The workstation design involves the use of a stepper motor to accurately position the camera. Controlling the speed of the camera movement is a key to achieve the optimum image quality. In addition, attention is given to the design and implementation of an appro-priate lighting to ensure a consistent scene exposure and minimizing artifacts. The work-station is designed to be robust, stable and at the same time easy to operate and maintain. The final part is focused on obtaining hyperspectral pictures and their evaluation.
