The purpose of this work is to propose an algorithm for obtaining a high resolution image of an accounting document using information from multiple lower resolution images taken by a mobile phone camera. The algorithm builds on the principles of MI-SR methods, where mapping of images onto each other and subsequent combination of overlapping data occurs. Applying the algorithm significantly reduces the noise in the image and increases the resolution. When comparing the readability results of OCR methods before and after the application of the algorithm, there is an average improvement when the algorithm is correctly configured. Therefore, the proposed algorithm can be used as a preprocessing method for character detection in an image.
