This bachelor thesis deals with the design and creation of a new generation microwave imaging system, which is a novel alternative imaging method to conventional computed tomography and magnetic resonance in the field of detection and recognition of strokes. The solution, in the form of 24-port system, was produced using 3D printing and verified by measuring S parameters for different types and positions of brain strokes, both using a 3D phantom of the human head with bags of adaptive medium, isolated to the area of individual antennas, and with the entire system filled with liquid tissue phantom. Subsequently, the reconstruction of the distribution of dielectric parameters approximating the brain tissue was performed using the TSVD Born approximation. The system proved to be functional when filled with liquid, but the imaging was not functional when using the head phantom. The use of bags in the form proposed in this thesis is therefore not suitable.
