Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá ovlivněním stability u geriatrických pacientů, jež u nich bývá často porušena, prostřednictvím kombinací metody dynamické neuromuskulární stabilizace (DNS) a kondičního cvičení. V teoretické části je rozebrán pojem geriatrie, geriatrické syndromy a involuční změny, jež doprovázejí člověka během života. Dále teoretická část obsahuje kapitolu o posturální stabilitě, o faktorech ji ovlivňujících v průběhu stárnutí a o hlubokém stabilizačním systému páteře. The focus of this bachelor work is to positively affect stability in geriatric patients, where the stability is often disrupted, by the combination of the method dynamic neuromuscular stabilization (DNS) and conditional exercises. In the theoretical part of this work the term geriatrics, geriatric syndromes and the changes caused by involution are described. Also, in this part there are chapters discussing postural stability, factors that can affect the postural stability during ageing and a chapter about the integrated spinal stabilizing system. The method dynamic neuromuscular stabilization and conditional exercises are shortly explained here as well. The methodology part is describing the characteristics of the tested groups and the methods used to examine and treat the subjects later on in the special part of this work. The special part includes the information gathered during the initial and final examinations plus the short-term and long-term rehabilitation plans. In the results the initial and final examinations of both groups are compared via tables, graphs and written commentaries. The level of breathlessness was amongst the subjects in the first group reduced. Also, the level of stability was objectively and subjectively improved in the first group. The conclusion addresses the high numbers of falls in the elderly, the ageing of the population and the problem with not enough space and staff in the healthcare system. It also compares the results and outcomes of this bachelor work with the results of other studies focused on similar issues.
