The Bachelor's thesis is focused on the environmental optimization of a residential building development project. The main goal is to improve the building's energy demand by modifying and enhancing the compositions of the building envelope constructions. The thesis further addresses the analysis and comparison of the original and optimized version of the residential building in terms of energy performance indicators, carbon footprint size, and its valuation through emission allowances, as well as possibilities for utilizing subsidies that support energy-efficient living. In the final part of the thesis, the acquisition costs of the building structure are quantified, including considerations of environmental impacts and the inclusion of grants
