Cílem diplomové práce je popsání koncepce možného využití malých modulárních reaktorů v energetice České republiky v kontextu plánovaného přechodu k nízkouhlíkové energetice a dosažení klimatické neutrality. The aim of the diploma thesis is to describe the concept of possible use of small modular reactors in the Czech Republic in the context of the planned transition to low-carbon energy and achieving climate neutrality. The beginning of the diploma thesis is devoted to the definition of the concept of small modular reactor, description of its general characteristics, its anchoring in the legislation of the Czech Republic and classification of small modular reactors. In the following chapters is analysed the current state of the Czech Republic's energy sector together with the Czech Republic's plan for transition to low-carbon energy. Subsequently is assessed the current readiness of small modular reactor concepts for commercial use and is described the concept of a secondary circuit of a small modular reactor with PWR technology. The thesis concludes with a description of the key aspects of the feasibility of a small modular reactor project together with a design for a secondary circuit concept in the selected location and a summary of the benefits of this technology for the power industry in the Czech Republic.
