The topic of this bachelor thesis is the application of the Source-Jerk method using a neutron generator at VR-1 reactor. This thesis deals with the theoretical description of reactivity measurment methods, experimental application of the Source-Jerk method with different conditions and comparison of the results obtained with the Source-Jerk method and conventional methods used at VR-1 reactor. The thesis describes most of the reactivity measurment methods used at experimental and research reactors. The neutron D-D generator was used as an external source of neutrons for the Source-Jerk method. The obtained results were discussed and compared with values computed via the Serpent 2 code. This thesis can be used as a basis for further studies on reactivity measurment using the Source-Jerk method on subcritical reactors.
