Nová budova Muzea hl. m. Prahy

Abstract

Předmětem diplomové práce je návrh nové budovy Muzea hlavního města Prahy. Práce navazuje na předdiplomní projekt, který se zabýval urbanistickou studií uzemí stávajícího Masarykova nádraží. Po transformaci bude toto území tvořit novou multifunkční část propojenou s ostatními částmi města. Stejně bylo postupováno i při návrhu nové budovy muzea. Budova bude provázaná se stávajícím muzeem podzemním tunelem a skleněnou lávkou. Bude tak vytvořena provázanost mezi starou a novou dobou. Materiál a uspořádání obkladových desek fasády zdůrazňuje kontrast mezi starou a novou budovou. Tvar a styl stavby vytváří nová a neočekávaná zákoutí jak v interiéru tak exteriéru.

The subject of the diploma thesis is the design of a new building of the Museum of the Capital City of Prague. The thesis follows up on the pre-diploma project, which dealt with the urban study of the area of the existing Masaryk railway station. After the transformation, this area will form a new multifunctional district connected with other parts of the city. The same procedure was followed when the new museum building was designed. The building will be connected to the existing museum, underground tunnel and glass footbridge which will create a connection between the old and the new era. The material and the ordering of the facade cladding panels are highlighting the contrast between the new building and the old one. The shape and the style of the building creates new and unexpected nooks both indoors and outdoors.
