This thesis addresses the problem of formation maintenance in multi-agent pathfinding on grid graphs. At the beginning, it introduces concepts and algorithms for basic pathfinding, multi-agent pathfinding and formations. Together with term definitions, this helps the reader navigate through the rest of the thesis. Algorithm solving said problem was developed and implemented. This was done in Python, together with a visualization of resulting paths. It supports movement in formation, together with the ability to rate formation deviation based on real distance. This prevents formations to be split by an obstacle. Performance was measured with a set of formations and scenarios. Data from said testing is presented with the help of tables and graphs, together with a short discussion regarding the results.
