| cze |
dc.description.abstract | In neutrino physics, convolutional neural networks are often used for classification of particles. It is necessary to verify whether the measured data are simulated well by the generated Monte Carlo samples which are used for learning of the classification. Aim of this thesis is to examine whether this can be determined using homogeneity tests. However, Monte Carlo generators produce weighed samples; therefore, we need to generalize the homogeneity tests in order to apply them to weighted samples. Multiple options of generalizing Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Cramer-von Mises, Anderson-Darling and χ2 test are described. Several properties of cumulative distribution function’s estimates for different classes of weights are stated and proven. The asymptotic properties of generalized tests are not yet proven; therefore, all tests are compared in numerical analysis for various types of weights. The generalized tests are then applied to samples from the DUNE experiment. | eng |
