The paper describes an assessment of reinforced concrete structures in terms of durability and sustainable development. The article includes a short summary of the literature search on evaluation methods for environmental impacts, corrosive impacts on the reinforced concrete structure, and factors influencing the durability of concrete structures. An overview of mathematical models describing the corrosion of concrete is presented. Variant design of a floor structure in a car parking house was performed. The variants differ in type of a structure (prestressed concrete structure or reinforced concrete structure), strength class of concrete and thickness of concrete slab. All variants are assessed in terms of durability and sustainability. The paper presents results of life-cycle assessment of all variants, comparison of the variants and recommendations for practical designing.
