As part of an experimental research program on the seismic behavior of a new hybrid shearwall building system, with composite concrete-filled steel tubular edge members and typical reinforced concrete (RC) wall panel, test results of one-third scale specimens, covering different interface connections (IFC) between the composite edge members and the reinforced concrete (RC) wall panel, are presented. The specimens have been subjected to cyclic displacement controlled forces acting along the interface between the wall panel and the composite edge member. Considering the load-displacement results, recommendations on the reinforcement at the column-wall interface are presented.
