The goal of this Bachelor's degree thesis is to introduce to the basics of neutron spectrometry. It describe the physical principles used in the reactions and the types of detectors used for spectrometry. Based on these principles, the advantages and disadvantages of each spectrometric methods method are compared and their applicability for a practical application is evaluated. Furthermore, the most important algebraic methods for the calculation of a neutron spectrum from neutron detector information are introduced, especially from integral spectrometers. Finally, the results of the calculation of the neutron spectrum using the SAND-II computer program with various parameters are presented as well as demonstration of their effect on the resulting energy spectrum.
