This bachelor thesis focuses on examination in non-laboratory conditions, of its importance, advantages and disadvantages; and its use in clinical biochemistry. The goal of the thesis is to give an overview of technologies, which are used in POCT ? instrumental and non-instrumental; and an overview of analytical approaches, which POCT uses ? optical methods, immunochemical methods and electrochemistry. The thesis then focuses on selected fields and analytes, in which POCT is applied ? diabetology, hCG, CRP, drugs monitoring; and troponins within cardiology. The contribution of this thesis is an overview of methods and analytical approaches used in POCT and familiarization with specific selected analytes, which are tested in mode POCT.
