Abstract

Práce se věnuje analýze cen letenek, jejího průběhu s pomocí využití regresních modelů. Jedná se o linky z letišť Paris Charles de Gaulle, London Heathrow a Munich International do destinací Barcelona El-Prat, Ibiza a Tenerife Sur Reina Sofia. Předmětem analýzy je taktéž studium cen letenek z pohledu různých segmentů zákazníků, které byly v práci definovány jako segmenty týdeních, desetidenních, dvoutýdenních nebo víkendových návštěvníků. Data byla sbírána pomocí HTTP requestů na stránce kiwi.com. Byly zjištěny rozdíly mezi časovými intervaly - často aerolinky naceňují letenky jinak pro každý časový interval strávený v destinaci. Taktéž byl pozorován jiný průběh ceny pro low-cost a legacy aerolinky. Jedná se jak o rozdíly ve výši ceny letenky, tak o~průběh naceňování - někdy cena klesá na celém sledovaném časovém úseku (90 dní do odletu), jindy stoupá. Také se může jednat o funkci polynomiální s konvexním i konkávním charakterem.

Subject of this thesis is the analysis of flight ticket prices, its respective course (how it is changing with respect to the number of days until departure) with the use of regression models. Origin airports are Paris Charles de Gaulle, London Heathrow and Munich International and the tourist destinations were chosen as Barcelona El-Prat, Ibiza and Tenerife Sur Reina Sofia. The subject of the analysis the study of flight tickets in regards with different segments of customers - one week, ten days, two weeks or a weekend customer. The dataset for this thesis was obtained using HTTP requests on the website kiwi.com. The results were mixed - there are times when airlines price the flight tickets according to the length of stay in the destination, the progress of predicted price was also different for low-cost and legacy airlines and there were differences not only in price but also in the slope (price going up or down) and curvature (convex and concave) of regressions throughout the whole period for which the graphs were created (90 days to departure).
