The subject of this diploma thesis is the architectural and construction design of a climbing centre in the leisure recreational area Na Džbánu in Prague 6 - Vokovice. The material design responds to the natural characteristics of the Šárecký Nature Park and is related to the urban design of the area in the pre-diploma thesis. It is a building with sports and recreational activities for the inhabitants of the catchment area of Prague - Vokovice. The climbing centre includes bouldering walls, high climbing walls, indoor and outdoor. Within the parterre there are small boulders for children. In addition to sports activities, there is also a fast food restaurant and a clubhouse. The breakdown of the building is based on the technical requirements for natural lighting in sports buildings. The contrasting design of the façades depicts a combination of classical architecture and natural elements. The façade of the high climbing wall itself reflects the content of the building with an element of earth in the form of metal cladding, which flows from the exterior into the interior and seamlessly transitions into the climbing wall. The aim is to create an aesthetically and user-friendly sports environment. The structural system of the building is designed as a combination of reinforced concrete and steel skeleton. The ceiling structure and the roof structure of the entrance area are designed as reinforced concrete single-sided slabs. The foundations are of reinforced concrete tub. The high climbing wall structure consists of steel frames and truss columns. The glazed facades form a lightweight envelope. The full facades are finished with white plaster. The high parts are covered with stainless steel sheeting on an irregular steel structure.
