Abstract

Diplomová práce se zabývá návrhem městské knihovny Kolín a vychází z podmínek zadaných městským architektem. Nová budova knihovny doplní proluku v areálu zámku, který v posledních letech prochází postupnou revitalizací. Součástí práce byla revize možného využití podzemních prostor bývalých ječných půd a prověření reálnosti kapacit stavebního programu, který byl poskytnut vedením městské knihovny.

This diploma thesis proposes the design of the Kolín city library and is based on the criteria specified by the city architect. The new library building will be built on the unused land within the castle grounds, which has been undergoing gradual revitalization in recent years. Another section of this research is a revision of the possible use of subterranean spaces located within aforementioned castle grounds. Furthermore, this research verifies the potential realisation of the construction program, which was provided by the management of the city library.
