Na závěr byly představeny výsledky modelovaných scénářů s důrazem na porovnání vlivu zmíněných modelů elektráren na českou energetiku a jejich technicko-ekonomické charakteristiky.; The diploma thesis is focused on modeling the influence of flexible operation of nuclear power plants on the shape of the Czech energy industry and the technical-economic characteristics of nuclear power plants. The research part of the work is focused on two areas, which are the description of the TIMES model generator and the TIMES model used in this work, and the theory of flexible operation of nuclear power plants. The description of the model generator and the TIMES model extends the research project and is therefore more concise and focused on the practical side of working with the TIMES model generator. A larger part of the research is aimed at the theory of flexible operation of nuclear power plants, and its outcome is a summary of the capabilities of flexible operation of power plants with EPR, AP1000, APR-1400 and NuScale reactors. The capabilities of load-following operation of these power plants were then used as inputs to the TIMES model, and scenarios of the development of the Czech energy industry were modeled with their use. For the purpose of describing the flexible operation of nuclear power plants, the division of the day into eight three-hour segments was implemented in the model. Finally, the results of model scenarios were presented with an emphasis on comparing the influence of the mentioned power plant models on the Czech energy system and their technical and economic characteristics.

V poslední kapitole této práce jsou za pomoci výpočetního kódu FRAPTRAN objasněny degradace palivového proutku, ke kterým by mohlo při havárii typu RIA dojít.; The bachelor's thesis is focused on the description of severe accidents of light water reactors. The description is focused on light water reactors, with details focused on the VVER-1000 and VVER-440 reactors. The work is divided into 5 chapters. The first chapter is devoted to the description of the construction of light water reactors and their fuel systems. The following chapter deals with the processes that can lead to the development of a light water reactor accident. In the third chapter, the courses of basic types of accidents are discussed. The fourth chapter is devoted to a detailed analysis of temperatures that can be considered significant in the study of severe accidents. In the last chapter of this work, the degradation of the fuel rod, which could occur in an RIA type accident, is clarified with the help of a thermohydraulic computer code FRAPTRAN.

Tyto scénáře zahrnují projektovou základní hrozbu (DBT) a systém fyzické ochrany (PPS). Toto srovnání teoretických konstrukcí a praktických realizací slouží ke zdůraznění vzájemného působení mezi technologií SMR a nutností zabezpečit tato pokročilá jaderná zařízení proti potenciálním hrozbám.; This work provides a comprehensive overview of Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), delving into several specific types. The focus extends beyond technical parameters to encompass security considerations intrinsic to SMRs. Exploring security by design principles, the narrative outlines the significance of integrating security measures during the initial phases of SMR development. The latter part of the work shifts to practical application, illustrating security concepts through hypothetical scenarios at model SMR sites. These scenarios incorporate a Design Basis Threat (DBT) and a Physical Protection System (PPS). Two distinct hypothetical SMR facilities are examined, highlighting the adaptability of security measures based on reactor type and operational characteristics. This juxtaposition of theoretical constructs and practical implementations serves to underscore the nuanced interplay between SMR technology and the imperative of securing these advanced nuclear facilities against potential threats.

Práce zahrnuje informace o jaderné elektrárně Temelín včetně popisu jednotlivých okruhů a paliva, dále pak fenomenologii těžkých havárií, strukturu a vlastnosti výpočetního kódu ASTEC. V závěru práce je proveden výpočet hodnotící vliv obou paliv na průběh těžké havárie se ztrátou chladiva, zejména pak na klíčové okamžiky havarijní sekvence a na časový vývoj charakteristických veličin.; The study scrutinizes the influence of transitioning from TVSA-T mod1 fuel to TVSA-T mod2 fuel on the progression of a severe nuclear accident. This is done on a model of Temelín nuclear reactor type VVER-1000 using the integral ASTEC code. The thesis includes information about Temelín nuclear power plant, including a description of individual circuits and fuels, as well as the phenomenology of severe accidents, the structure and characteristics of the ASTEC code. At the end of the thesis, a calculation is performed that evaluates the impact of both fuels on the progression of a loss of coolant accident, mainly on key moments of the severe accidents sequence and the time development of characteristic quantities.
