Abstract
The main goal of this thesis was to design a concrete masonry block with recycled materials. First the basic shape of the blocks was determined and then a series of samples were produced to investigate mechanical and physical properties. A seven sets of the samples were produced and one od the sets was with reference samples using only cementDuring research a blast furnace slag, fly ash, Portland cement and slaked lime were used as a binder. An Aggregate was composed of the blast furnace slag. The dynamic modulus of elasticity, dynamic shear modulus, flexural strength, compressive strength, frost resistence and water absorbtion were measured. An analysis of maximum tension was made including load calculation. Moreover the unit was compared with the blocks that are currently produced.
