Abstract
Historický areál pivovaru v Sedlci, který byl založen spolu se sousedním klášterem ve 12. století, se v posledních desetiletích stal ruinou. V těsné blízkosti kostnice a slavné katedrály má toto místo velký význam a hodnotu. Práce se zabývá adaptivním opětovným využitím této nemovitosti, která zatím prochází jen drobnými stavebními úpravami. Záměr revitalizace je nabídnout širší komunitě a turistům areál jako duchovně-kulturní centrum. Jedná se o moderní koncept pojetí pojmu „klášter“ jako místo setkání pro podporu potřeb současných generací.
The historic site of brewery in Sedlec, which was former monastery built in the12th century has fallen into ruins in past few decades. With close vicinity to the bone church and famous Cathedral, it holds more importance and value. The thesis deals with the adaptive reuse of the property which is also undergoing some minor renovations at the moment. The purpose is to function and cater to the community and tourists as a spiritual- cultural centre. Having almost a modern take on the concept of ‘monastery’ and facilitating to the current generational needs.
