Abstract
The objective of this thesis was to propose the switched reluctance motor with output power 15 kW and rated speed 3,000 rpm. Program Electronics 17.0, made by company Ansys, was used for the design of the electric motor. This program contains expert module RMxprt, which was used for the design of the model of motor used for two different types of control. Afterwards in the module Maxwell 3D/2D was simulated machine behaviour. Valuable knowledge and data has been taken over from Slovak colleagues from the University of Žilina according to [10], where they have produced similar dual power engine and which is being tested in the present. Main of dimensions were modified from 13 kW induction motor according to the script [3].
